This chart is for novice through advance skiers. Many advanced skiers, expert skiers and racers drop down a size. This is due to their aggressive stance which is normally lower.

Another way to get a ski pole length is to turn your ski poles UPSIDE DOWN, take your skiing stance and put your hand under the basket. Your lower arm should be parallel to the floor. If your skis have large risers under your bindings, you may want to go up one size!  Keep in mind, poles can be cut down but can not be made longer.
