Swix 8 inch coarse tuning file

Steel edges on skis and snowboards are made of a harder metal than files you get in a hardware store! You can't tune your edges with a file that is made with softer metal than your edges. It will wear down the file immediately. That's why we offer files that are specifically designed for ski and snowboard tuning.

This traditional medium coarse 8 inch non chrome file is the perfect tuning file for starting the tune and taking down metal. The 6 inch file should be used for finish work. Great for recreational tuners.

Tuning hint! Use one side of the file for one ski and the other side for the other ski. If you're tuning a snowboard, use one side of the file for one edge and the other side for the other edge. This way the file wears down evenly and will last longer.
