Want to know the altitude, temperature, barometric pressure or time while you're on the slopes? The Altimax combines an altimeter, a weather center and watch all with easy-to-use logic. It features a large display with big numerals, electroluminescent backlight and a user-replaceable battery. In addition to the already familiar watch functions, you'll get a 12/24 hour clock, a calendar preprogrammed to 2089, 3 daily alarms, a stopwatch, a countdown timer and dual time. No matter where you're skiing or snowboarding, Altimax will tell you local time as well as your home time!
The Altimax has been designed to help the user make the most of any alpine experience. The Altimax features easy one-button access to intermediate information regarding daily vertical ascent/descent and number of runs skied. It also features a log book that stores total daily ascent/descent, average ascent/descent rate as well as duration of log for up to one week of skiing or sowboarding. The altitude range extends up to 9,000 m/29,500 ft, which puts all of the world's highest summits within the avid alpinist's reach. The altitude is shown with 5 m/10 ft resolution.
Altimax features an altitude difference measurement function for following vertical progress between stages, an automatic 24-hour memory, as well as barometer functions. The resolution of the barometer is 1 mbar/0.05 inHg.
