Keep your files clean while tuning!
When you drag your file across your edges, most of the shavings fall to the floor but many stay in the file grooves. If you use a dirty file while filing your skis or board, you'll dig the shavings in the files grooves into your bases affecting your tune. To avoid this, you need to clean the shavings out of the file grooves while tuning. This 10 inch file brush has a large handle for a good grip with bristles on one side and a wire brush on the other for those stubborn file shavings.
Tuning hint! Don't forget to clean the bases while filing too, not just the file.
